This year as well Dubrovnik-based LIBERTAS Film Festival brings a number of film titles from all over the world to film art aficionados. The six-day, top entertainment event features big-screen stories about people and events from the neighborhood but also from some of the farthest parts of the globe. Most of the films will be competing for one of the festival awards.
The 4th edition of the LIBERTAS Film Festival in Dubrovnik, scheduled to run from June 27 until July 2, boasts a number of independent film titles from all over the world in competition categories of feature, documentary and short films. Moreover, after presenting the cinema of Portugal and Norway in the last two years, this year it is time for the Cuban film! Festival Director Stjepan Hundić and his associate, the young and ever successful Croatian film and TV director Vanja Vascarac, a University of Savannah graduate, have once again selected a number of interesting films, some of which can only be seen at prestigious film events such as the film festivals in Cannes, Sundance, Berlin, Montreal and Shanghai. The films of the 4th LFF will be screened in the Jadran open-air cinema, Marin Držić theatre, and Sloboda cinema, as well as Rupe Museum and the Sponza Palace, located inside the walls of the unique Dubrovnik Old Town.
